raspberry Chocolate Cake recipe?
i’m currently designing a cake for an event that’s coming up, and part of it includes raspberry chocolate cake. i’ve looked online and in a couple of books for an appropriate recipe, but all i can find is just regular chocolate cake WITH something else that’s raspberry. what i’m searching for is more along the lines of chocolate cake with raspberry flavor in the cake itself.
does anyone know of anything like that?
does this even exist or am i just dreaming?

The only thing I can think of is if you can add raspberry extract. I don’t know if such a thing exists, but you could use that instead of the vanilla in the recipe and then it would taste like raspberry flavored chocolate. Or maybe make a puree out of raspberries and add that to the cake recipe instead of or for half of any liquid it calls for. I just checked and THERE IS a raspberry extract you can buy! It’s made by Mc Cormick and Schilling. I would check the grocery store or maybe a cake supply store. Good luck
